FEELING GUILTY

To feel guilt suggests that one has a conscientious conscience. Everyone has a conscience of some magnitude ... I think. Do you feel guilt if you have wronged someone by saying or doing something negative, hurtful, false, or improper? A guilt ridden conscience should invoke action. It should make you say you are sorry and help you apologize. Guilt can be very weighty. Getting rid of it is a stress reduction.

But if you have a hardened disposition, your reasoning will always be one of blame. After all, it was not your fault. Never! If you are an “always blame the other person” type of individual, then there is no guilt to feel. When you have an inflatable aura and a repellent conscience, it begs to ask…Have you ever been on a guilt trip? I have! It is not a comfortable ride. Guilt should change things; even us! No one is perfect! Guilt, or should I say our acceptance of guilt, can become a factor that makes us better individuals. It makes us think about the infraction, how we treat people, relieves pressure, and causes one to act! Correcting our missteps to remove the emotional pain is a great first step. Shall we take the journey together? Photo credit: www.pathstohealing.com
