READING THE WORD

Some years ago when I was on my first journey of “Walking through the Bible” in one year, I vividly remember crying when reading the scriptures leading up to Moses’ death. I had grown so close to him. I felt as if I personally knew Moses. I recall calling my Mother to tell her of my sadness.

As I recently watched “The Ten Commandments,” maybe it was from visualizing Moses‘ character in the movie that made the memory all so fresh. Daily biblical reading and listening to spiritual messages provide an unbelievable closeness to God. It cultivates incredible faith. Thank you Father for your guidance. I wholeheartedly realize that God loves me, provides rules to protect me, and will never leave me. What an awesome feeling!
