WHAT DIRECTION IS YOUR MORAL COMPASS POINTING?

By Vernalee

It's no secret! I am known to be direction-ally challenged. Determining where's North and South has long presented difficulties. I like many others do not care to be lost. It is not a good feeling. I desire to know where I'm going and what road will take me there. Finding our lane respective to our sense of moral judgment is equally as important as traveling directions. We need someone or something to guide us. Our direction in life, how we treat others, and what roads we travel is determined often by our moral compass.

Your Moral Compass is defined as “an inner sense which distinguishes what is right from what is wrong. It functions as a guide (like the needle of a compass) for morally appropriate behavior.”

Synonyms include your conscience, your moral sense, and your belief system. A

Moral Compass assists a person's in their judgmental choices.

The components of a moral compass is comprised of:

· Principles, values and beliefs),

· Goals (including purpose and wants), and

· Behaviors (through thoughts, emotions and actions) interacting together to form moral intelligence.

Now then, what is your moral compass? Undoubtedly, mine may be different from yours. Regardless, our internal needle will guide us down a path. If we need to refocus and change directions, we should follow the dictates of the needle.

Miraculously, a moral compass does what no other compass will ever do. It speaks! And when it does, we should listen!
