The African Proverb - If you escaped from the lion's den, why go back for your hat has a thought provoking meaning. Don't confuse a brave act with a brainless act. If you have managed to overcome a big challenge, why chase after little things that will lead you back to that dangerous path? We must optimize the chances that we get; minimize risks; maximize opportunities! A hint to the wise - Don’t go back if you successfully got out!

The phrase - A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step - is not only true, but motivational. The proverb puts forward the notion that, however difficult a task is, you can only complete it if you first start it. Once you begin, you're well on your way. Nothing brings greater joy than to see a task come to its completion. It begs to ask - "What's next?" Truly, the bar is raised! So … keep on stepping!

Sometimes, we have to step out of our comfort zone. Believe in yourself. Pray for wisdom and greater height. Reach for the stars! One thing is for sure. You'll land somewhere higher than you started!
