The phrase, For Whatever It’s Worth - categorizes feelings that may not be useful, significant, or acknowledged to be helpful by the listener. Whether there are ears that hear/validate what you say or do, it is left up to you to accomplish your goals. Besides, we have to live with ourselves and measure up to our standards; right? When and if we fall short, I say, “let’s be courageous; let’s start out all over again until we get it right; until we achieve and accomplish our goals.” Anyway, that‘s how I see it ...for whatever it’s worth ....

Recently, I heard my Pastor talk about not giving up in the midst of your challenges. He said, “When you come to the end of the rope, tie a knot and hang in there.” With that admonition, most definitely, we have to find the strength to continue our journey. By doing so, we can stay on our path. It’s easy to find excuses. We can even convince ourselves to quit and just give up! It is critical that we hang in there and stay in the game! By doing so, eventually we will see the light at the end of the tunnel! We will reach our destination!

Somedays, we might get knocked down, but that doesn’t mean we have to stay down. Getting up is a test of our intestinal fortitude. When we get up, we demonstrate strength, courage, and determination. It was Coach Vincent Lombardi who said,

It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up.“

...And that’s what we have to do - Get up and rise to deal with the new day!
