It ceases to amaze me how some people do not understand the meaning of the word NO! It is such a simple term. If you ask me a question and I respond with the reply, "No," that is my answer. If you care to negotiate, influence me, and see if you can persuade me to change my mind, that is entirety up to you! Merriam Webster defines the word NO as being used to give a negative answer; reply to a question, request or offer. So, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out the meaning of this two letter word. Therefore, read my lips! The answer is still NO! If you wish to interpret what I just said, be my guest!

Hot tempers cause arguments, but patience brings peace.” Proverbs 15:18 “Patience is defined as

the capacity to accept or tolerate delay, trouble, or suffering without getting angry or upset. The proverb - patience is a virtue means that it is a good quality to be able to tolerate something that takes a long time.“

So if being impatient describes you, patiently take heed to this admonition. Your impatience will not change the outcome. It will however cause stress.

Why stress over something that you cannot change? Instead - Exercise patience!

It’s here! Today is Monday! I have my “To Do” list ready. There are so many projects that I have to start and complete this week. Every Monday morning, I lay out my list and every Monday, I feel overwhelmed! I ask myself, “How can I possibly get all of these tasks done?” It’s a funny thing because every Friday, I say, “Wow. I accomplished a lot this week; more than I expected. It’s unbelievable how far I moved the needle.” I realize that - One step begins the journey.

So here I go again this Monday with my mounting list of tasks and projects. I hope that I can accomplish a lot this week. I have the opportunity to correct my mistakes from last week and to improve. As I start my Monday morning grind, I say, ”Let’s see what I can tackle before Friday!“ I know the cycle all to well. I realize that no matter how hard I try that I’ll get the jitters ...but it keeps me on my toes. It pushes me to do better this week! So here I go! Photo credit: medium
