One of my favorite quotes in the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion area is this one by the late great Nelson Mandela. We need to eradicate prejudices. Our world needs love … lots of love. It starts with me! It starts with you! The residual is a better world for all of us.

Gird your loins! You will find your strength. You will learn from your mistakes. Let’s see how. For starters, you‘ll become a happy camper because you no longer want to be sad. You‘ve grown exponentially without realizing it because wisdom kicked it along the way. You’ve gone through a renaissance of change that only experience and time could teach. Hail to the knowledge that has been acquired to grasp once you realize that you’re smarter than you thought! It's called learnt sense.

Reflecting and learning from what we have experienced can be our greatest teacher. Often times, we cannot discern the significance of an event while its occurring. However, once it is over, our viewpoints may become very enlightening. They may even be different from our original assessment once we take a reality spin. For example, what we may have once classified as rejection is now revealing itself as a re-direction. We can always see clearly once the rain is gone. It is then that we realize that looking back ... hindsight gives us 20/20 vision. We see things in the end that we didn't in the beginning. Better late than never!
