Let's change the pace a bit. We've been serious all week. So let's navigate into deep water. Discussions about relationships are one of those areas that can be delicate to the wax of the inner ear. Here we go!

To the men, treat us like the precious jewels that we are. To the women, listen up!

Loving a “no good” man and loving a “good" man requires the same effort, but what you get in return is substantially different. It’s a night and day contrast. There is someone out there worthy of you; someone who will love you the way that God says a man should love a woman; someone who is real and not a figment of your imagination. Keep an open mind and remember that in order to receive, you have to give. Once the zero is eliminated, you’re in a better position to walk upon the man “where you are everything and everything is you!” You will as so many women ask, “What took me so long?” I say …."Better late than never!" The ubiquitous saying that “a picture is worth a thousand words” fits this graphic illustration like a glove. It’s a funny thing. The first time I glanced the photo, I missed the obvious...the graphic view of the ladder. Yet, it was right in front of my eyes. How ironic! Then, I wondered and question after question invaded my space. How many times was there a ladder there for me and the other person did not use it? How many times have I been left in the dark while the person looked the other way? Was I purposely left in the hole? How many times have I thought that I was genuinely being helped only to find out that it was all a pretentious act? Was I left at my lowest point, half clothed like the person in the photo? It became too much! I had to stop the probe of questions! My answers began rapidly flowing. My panacea is faith; mountainous faith at that! What a mighty God we serve, when we are lifted above our circumstances. If I have said this once, I have said it a hundred times. “God sits high and looks low!” What I missed, he saw! Woe to those who thought that they got away!

Father's Day is here again! It's a special calendar day dedicated to love, respect, and honor our Daddies. It can also be a day of sadness for those whose Daddies have gone home to be with the Lord. As I lost my Daddy in my early twenties, I understand the pain, but I am immensely grateful for his many teachings. His wisdom and my memories thereof have been embedded in my heart, mind, and soul. I cannot tell you how many times, his words have guided and instructed me. So although my Daddy no longer walks this earth, he guides me still. There have been days that his arms have emotionally carried me and encouraged me to courageously take that next step. He may be absent in the flesh, but he is forever present in my heart. Yes, he most definitely is my rock and I lean on what he taught me! So I encourage all to love, honor, and bless your Daddies today and all days. Shower him with love while the blood runs warm in his body! Remember this - Good old Dad is proudly watching your every move with a stern eye of protection - whether he is sitting across from you or gazing you from the Heavens. Happy Sunday! Blessings!
