Years ago, I remember the old folks saying, "The devil is busy."

Of course, if you were like me and most other teenagers, we paid them, "no never mind."

They also said, "Just keep on living!"

As years went by, their words became golden .... when we realized how busy Satan really is and how he is out to attack us and our family!

1 Peter 5::8 tells us to: "Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour."

Over 40 years ago, I heard a lion roar for the first time. I was pregnant with my son. The intensity of the roaring sound was so frightening that I initially thought that I would prematurely go into labor at the zoo. It was a penetrating sound that truly personified the lion with the earned title of King of the Jungle. That was a lion. Just imagine ... Satan’s attacks are a zillion times worst.

It is for that reason and more that we have to stay close to God, lean on him, remain prayerful, and take heed to his Word.

It is only through God's grace, mercy, and protection that we can withstand the pressures of this life. On bended knee, with gratitude I say, “Thank you God for your covering and immeasurable love! Thank you for bringing us out of the dark into the light and for doing what only you can do to protect and shield us from the harm that Satan can bring.”

Upon listening to the performance of "This Means War," we cannot help but be thankful for God’s many, many blessings!

What a mighty God we serve!

He's worthy to be praised … not just on Sundays but everyday of the week!

Happy Sunday and Blessings!

Growing up, I remember the old folks saying, “He might not come when you want him, but he’s right on time. He’s an on time God.” Those words stayed with me; they resonated in my soul. As I aged and experienced more life occurrences, I started saying those very words myself.

My Mother was not an ordained minister, but believe me when I tell you this - that woman could preach; she could bring the word! Oh yes, she had a way of telling you things that you never forgot. She told me not once but over and over again, "Our God will never leave your side. Trust in him. She continued by saying -

He's a Burden Bearer and a Heavy Load Sharer.

He is a Heart Fixer and a Mind Regulator. He is the Alpha and Omega; the beginning and the end. No matter what you're going through, God will deliver you. Try him for yourself! You’ll never be disappointed. You’ll never be alone. Pray! And if you're gonna pray, don't worry. If you're gonna worry, don't pray. He'll hear your prayers whether you're in Mississippi or Ohio. You gotta have faith. Lay your burdens on him. He'll never leave you or forsake you!"

I say, “Thank you God for your love, blessings, protection, grace, and covering!

Thank you for giving me a praying Momma who taught me to stand on the Word; who taught me how to pray; who taught me to trust in the Lord!”

What she taught me, I taught my children!

As a family, our love for you Heavenly Father has traveled many miles, crossed multiple states, and has been planted in our hearts - one generation after another!

Happy Easter! Blessings! Thank you Lord for laying your life down so that we all may live!

True.

Life throws us curve balls. Some we catch; others, we miss.

Sometimes, we stand. Sometimes, we get knocked down. But a Saint is just a sinner who fell down and got up. Every day, we should be thankful that God lifted us; thankful that he gave us a second chance; thankful for his mercy and grace; thankful for our comeback!

God is gracious In granting second chances. It has been said that ...

“We can’t run out of second chances…only time.

Every moment of your life is a second chance.

If God gave you a second chance…don’t waste it.

You’ve never gone too far that God can’t redeem you, restore you, forgive you, and give you a second chance.”

God granted second chances and forgiveness to Jonah, to Samson ... to you and to me!

2 Peter 3:9 tells us that “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Oh what a mighty God we serve!

Happy Sunday and Blessings!
