God is our source. Our belief in him will change our life. It will cause us to praise the Lord with every inch of our might. God sees our inner self. He gives us the tools to fully worship and love him. Through his grace, we can show our love to others. Psalms 118: 1 tells us to  “Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.” I am thankful for God's blessings and pray that he enables me to be a blessing to others. Amen! Thank you Lord for life and for coming into my life!

Happy Sunday and Blessings this New Year of 2021.

Walking into 2021, we all want to be better! Some of us want a refresh; a makeover; a brand newness. How can this be achieved? The answer is to look in the right places. Looking to another person to make you better isn't the solution. Other people are just like you as they too are challenged to stay on the straight and narrow. But if we pray and look to God, we will find what we are looking for - a complete transformation. Colossian 3: 9, 10 tells us - 9 "Do not lie to each other, since you have taken off your old self with its practices 10 and have put on the new self, which is being renewed in knowledge in the image of its Creator." As I look to you the most high, I ask you - Lord, order my steps, lead me, guide me, and show me the way to be a better person all the way around. For I know that when I look into the mirror ...that any of my goodness is just because of you! Amen.

Happy Sunday and Blessings!

The Sunday after Christmas is always a glorious spiritual time. We are still bathing in the gift giving spirit feeling joyful and thrilled! We have shared time with loved ones and opened presents. Some of us have gotten lost in the commercial aspect rather than being indulged in the true meaning of Christmas, namely the birth of Jesus Christ!

Matthew 1:18-25 recounts the birth of our Messiah.

18 “This is how the birth of Jesus the Messiah came about: His mother Mary was pledged to be married to Joseph, but before they came together, she was found to be pregnant through the Holy Spirit. 19 Because Joseph her husband was faithful to the law, and yet did not want to expose her to public disgrace, he had in mind to divorce her quietly.

20 But after he had considered this, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream and said, “Joseph son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary home as your wife, because what is conceived in her is from the Holy Spirit. 21 She will give birth to a son, and you are to give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins.”

22 All this took place to fulfill what the Lord had said through the prophet: 23 “The virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and they will call him Immanuel” (which means “God with us.“

24 When Joseph woke up, he did what the angel of the Lord had commanded him and took Mary home as his wife. 25 But he did not consummate their marriage until she gave birth to a son. And he gave him the name Jesus.” Let us never forget the true meaning of Christmas as we

remember - Jesus is the reason for the season! Happy Sunday and Blessings!
