It’s time! If we haven’t done so, we need to open our hearts. Showing love and compassion is the first step. With an opened heart, we need to take our burdens to the Lord. The old folks in Mississippi would say, “Turn it over to God and leave it there. He will fix it!”  We can find comfort in his Word; in his guidance.

In the Book of Philippians 4: 6-7, we read:

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.“

Psalm 55:22 instructs us -

“Cast your burden on the Lord, and he will sustain you; he will never permit the righteous to be moved.“

Stop thinking that you can do it all. Take it to the Lord. Turn it over to him! “Open your heart” to receive his glory!

Happy Sunday!

Blessings!

As we listen to this gospel song, my prayer time, and I am sure yours, is not limited to Sundays only. I am a firm believer that daily prayer changes things! Can I get a witness? It makes a difference in our lives as it brings us closer to the Lord. There are many forms of prayer - faith, agreement, supplications, thanksgiving, worship, intercession, consecration, among others. The Bible instructs us to pray incessantly. In 1 Thessalonians 5:17, we are told to "pray continually." Luke 18:1 instructs us "to pray and not give up." Prayer is one of the purest forms of worship; a direct form of communications with God. For me, daily prayer is soothing; it's therapeutic; it's my private, one on one communicative time with the Lord. I cannot start my day off with thanking God! I take the time to do so before I do anything else! My morning prayer helps to shape my day. Prayer helps to order your conduct, particularly when dealing with challenging people and situations. Prayer provides many opportunities of expressions. Join me in prayer. " I thank you Father for waking my family and me up this morning! Thank you Lord for all that you do; thank you for the breathe of life, for guidance, for everything. Without you, where would I be? With you, I am not lost! To God be the glory!" I close with the chorus lyrics, “Be blessed my sister. Be blessed my brother. You can depend on God to see you through!

I'll pray for you. You pray for me and watch God change things."

Pray always. Always Pray!

Happy Sunday! God bless!

Lord, I come to you today in prayer. Like so many people, my thoughts go places that they should not. My mind thinks things that should not enter my space. My heart pumps feelings that I wish did not exist. Lord, help me to be what you desire. Help me to be descent, fair, kind, and respectful. I need your helping hands God! I ask for your grace; your Amazing Grace.I ask you Father to “order my steps in your Word dear Lord. Lead me and guide me everyday; teach me your will.” Help me to be the best Mother, Granny, sister, aunt, niece, cousin, friend, and person that I can be! Help me to walk in the footsteps of goodness! Show me how to forget and forgive. Forgive me for my indiscretions. Put righteousness and kindness in my spirit. Place the rights words in my mouth. Anchor my soul in the streams that you see fit. Let my conduct, speech, and all that I do glorify your name. Keep my thoughts wholesome. Allow me to have helping hands to support those in need spiritually, financially, emotionally and in all ways. Let love flow from me like water downstream. Surround me with people who love me and that I love. Keep me on bended knee so that I stay prayerful and honor your Holy name. Guide me Lord. Stay by my side. I know that I can achieve greatness when you walk with me Lord! Thank you Father for your love, grace, mercy, protection, guidance and all that you have done for my family and me! Thank you Lord for your Amazing Grace! Amen. Happy Sunday! Blessings!
