As I come to you Heavenly Father on bended knees, I pray.

I start my worship this Sunday by being thankful; thankful for life; thankful for good health; thankful for so many, many blessings.

As I remain prayerful, keep me steadfast in your Word.

When my days are filled with issues; some that I can quickly solve; others, not, I ask that you guide me, provide me with knowledge, and show me the way.

When I'm down, please Lord lift me.

I ask for forgiveness of my sins; we all have them!

I ask that you remove stumbling blocks - even if they are people - from my path.

As I bury the ill will of the past, I ask you Lord to order my steps so that I can walk in your goodness and righteousness!

I ask you Lord to purify my heart and place sheer love in my soul.

Jehovah God, show me the way; teach me how to love and be loved; how to do loving acts to lift your holy name.

Lord, keep me humble, keep me grounded because I need you every second of the day.

Lord, I ask for your blessing so that I can be a blessing to others.

I ask you Lord for your personal, professional, and spiritual guidance.

Lord, I have learned to come to you before I make a move. I rely not on my understanding but yours. I know not all the answers.

I ask you Dear God to cover me and my family with your blanket of love, guidance, mercy, grace, and protection.

Lord, help me to do the right things; to work in your purpose.

Almighty God, bless my children, my family, my friends, and my loved ones.

Lord help me to give my adult children the guidance that they need and keep their ears receptive to listen.

My prayers are long, my petitions are many, but I thank you Lord for listening; for always being there. I thank you for your long stretching love...I thank you for everything!

Lord, I cannot stop praising you.

Heavenly Father, I sing your praises and raise my voice in harmony to your Holy name. As I listen to the golden voice of my favorite singer, the late great Aretha Franklin, I ask you Lord to "lift me up and let me stand; a higher plane than I have found; plant my feet on higher grounds." ”To God be the glory!”

Happy Sunday!

Forgiveness is the intentional and voluntary process by which a victim undergoes a change in feelings and attitude regarding an offense, lets go of negative emotions such as vengefulness, with an increased ability to wish the offender well.” Forgiveness in relationships is absolutely necessary. It has been noted that forgiveness and our health are closely associated. When we forgive, the act helps to remove many associated negative emotions including among others – hatred, animosity, guilt, regret, remorse, blame, shame, and self-contempt.

Essentially and often, forgiveness and forgetting go hand in hand. Some people forget, but they don’t forgive. They hold tight to the infraction that produced the hurt. You can’t forgive what you won’t let go!

The Bible teaches us that forgiveness is necessary and is a tenet of our faith. God forgave us! Why can’t we forgive others? It is important to forgive others as we have been forgiven by the blood of Christ. The Holy Bible provides many, many scriptures regarding the necessity to forgive. Examine among others: ‎Matthew 6:14-15; ‎1 John 1:9; ‎Mark 11:25; and ‎Acts 3:19 for starters. Matthew 6: 14, 15 tells us: “For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your Heavenly Father will forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their sins, your Father will not forgive you.” Let us – forgive, forget, let go, and move on! We will be better and feel better when we do!

We can then rejoice in how “we got over” the anxiety and trouble that had consumed us. Happy Sunday! God Bless!

Since I am direction-ally challenged, one of the best inventions ever was the GPS! GPS’s can take you directly to your destination. Your only job is to put in the address. I love them! They're everywhere now - cell phones and all! Needless to say, all mechanical devices have their shortcomings. Some GPS systems can route you around construction zones, but they cannot see or predict other deviations that might take you off course.

However, I have founded the best navigation system in the world. When you let God direct and guide you, you can make it to your destination even if you don’t know where you are going!

God can and will place you on the right path. God doesn’t need satellite devices or signals. He knows the world and you! Remember, he created both!

He can effortlessly recalculate your route; turn you around; and place your feet on solid ground. Gravity is no issue with God! Better yet, he can move other objects – people, places, and things – that may be obstacles out of your way. Forget Rand McNally! God has the best road-map, the Holy Bible! So if you are lost, can’t see your way out, need clarity of vision, or a fool-proof system to keep you personally, professionally, and spiritually wise, put God behind the wheel. Let him cruise you around and order your steps. You will never get lost.

Believe, be obedient to his Word, and be deep in your faith as you “go and let God!” Photo credit: amazon.com
