There is one word that we should not use loosely. That word is - friend! These days, I have become very selective about who I call friend. Age, maturity, wisdom, and outcomes give you discernment on the true definition of the word. The definition of a true friend even kicks up the meaning to a higher level. Know who's with you. Be careful, discerning, and selective so that you're not overly disappointed with the results particularly if who you thought would be there for you fails to show up!

Sugar and Salt both look the same. The phrase is true and self explanatory.

They are both white tiny granular nuggets that we use to spice up our foods; to give it a discerning taste. But oh my, the taste is vastly different. One is sweet; the other is not. When we analyze this phrase and compare it to people, the bottom line is - Be careful who you trust. It's so easy to be deceived ... and looks are very deceiving. We know that all that shines ain’t gold! Do your homework. Investigate. Take your time. Observe, take notes, analyze, and watch carefully ...so that you can really see and verify what your eyes told you that you saw. No more needs to be said. You get the point; right?

I can't believe I fell for it! I have observed this person's actions many times before. Silly me! Why did I not think that the wrath would eventually flow in my direction? I was completely naïve. I certainly knew better. Who would have thought that I fell for the obvious? Has this ever happened to you? This is precisely what happens when we give people too much credit and let our guards down - even if it's just for a hot second. We have to remember that no one is immune or exempted from unfairness even if you know the hand that throws the blow. Alrighty now - Get with the program. Grow up. Smell the coffee. Remember the scriptural counsel that says it all. "Don’t put your confidence in powerful people; there is no help for you there." (Ps 146:3) They'll disappoint you every time. Trust only in The Lord.
