Diversity and inclusion expert Verna Myers, a star of the TED Talk Series states that “overcoming prejudice starts with identifying our unconscious biases and trying to rewire our brains to welcome differences and think more inclusively.“ My namesake, this Harvard educated attorney coined the expression, “Diversity is being invited to the party; inclusion is being asked to dance.” Thus, if you are anything like me, we have pulled our chair up to the table - ready, able, and willing to do business! We refuse to dance around the issue. We want inclusion! It’s as simple as that!
