The English idiom "don't judge a book by its cover" is a metaphorical phrase that means one shouldn't prejudge the worth or value of something by its outward appearance alone." People and things are not always what they appear, The outside may not reflect the inside. What you see is not always what you get! Besides, beauty is only skin deep. Don't be shallow! How a person treats you is major. It outweighs how they look.
