I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF MY MOTHER

I AM WHO I AM BECAUSE OF MY MOTHER Age brings about a change.  Let me show you how.

“When I was 4 years of age: My Mommy could do anything! -When I was 8 years of age: My Mom knew a lot! A whole lot! -When I ‘was 12 years of age: My Mother didn’t  really know quite everything. -When I was 14 years of age: Naturally, Mother doesn’t know that either. -When I was 16 years of age: Mother? She’s hopelessly old-fashioned. -When I was 18 years of age: That old woman? She’s way out of date! -When I was 25 years of age: Well, she might know a little bit about it. -When I was 35 years of age: Before we decide, let’s get Mom’s opinion. -When I was 60 years of age: Wonder what Mom would have thought about it? -When I was 65 years of age: Wish I could talk it over with Mom one more time.”

Wow!

There are times I’m sure in all of our lives when we thought that our Mothers fussed too much, particularly when they were telling us to do the right things. Our Mothers simply “got on our nerves!”  As we aged and for those of us who had kids/nieces/nephews (who got on our nerves), we finally realized what our Mothers went through. Then, we appreciated  our Mothers more! I know that today  in the Heavenly host, my Mother is smiling at me and saying, “My baby (since I never grew up) sho can talk, sometimes too much!” Today, dear Mother, Miss Phoebe - because I talk incessantly about you, the whole world knows of you and your wisdom!  I became the woman/person/ Mother that I am because of you!  Thank you! I give you a shout out everyday of my life!
