Nothing ventured. Nothing gained is a proverb referring to “you cannot expect to achieve anything if you never take risks. It is worth trying to do something because you might succeed even though success may not be certain.” You may surprise yourself! What about that? You may uncover talents that you didn’t know you had!
However, if you never try, you’ll never know. Isn’t it better to try, even if you fail, than to not try at all? Much can be learned from failures. In fact, failures may teach you your greatest lessons. It makes you better the next go around. Venture out! Gain what you can! The opposite achieves nothing.
