SOME PEOPLE CREATE THEIR OWN STORMS AND THEN COMPLAIN WHEN IT RAINS

There is an old adage which says, "If you can't lick (beat) 'em, (join) 'em.” Similar to "Better bend than break," it implies surrendering when you're outnumbered, keeping your mouth shut, pretending you agree when you don't, and adopting their position even if it differs from yours. I ask, “Why should I compromise my values?“
Having the courage to stand up for what I believe is better than joining the other side when I disagree. I am not one of those people "who go along just to get along.”
For at the end of the day, I have to live with myself and my decisions. So what if I’m outnumbered! I will stick to my principles. I don't have to join them! Having peace of mind is worth its weight in gold...even if I stand alone! If you create your own storm; you can’t get upset if it rains. You got to either live with it or change it. It’s your decision. Case closed!
