I’m sure that you have heard the idiom expression, “The straw that broke the camel’s back.”

It simply “refers to the tipping point where a person or situation can no longer handle a burden, even if that burden is seemingly insignificant. “ You may have dealt with many mounting pressures and problems over a period of time, sometimes heavy burdens in fact. You’re FULL. Then along comes this problem, though small it may be, and all of a sudden, you can’t take it. You fall apart; you cave in! You have reached a breaking point! Admittedly, we all have been there! The pressure on your soul is too much this particular day. It was the last straw!

You’ve just had enough. It’s too much to bear. You are weighted down or so you thought! Then after you have perhaps shedded a tear or two, something miraculous happens. You realize that you have to go on! The interesting thing is that you’re resilient. You recharge your battery - sometimes by yourself, sometimes with the help of others. You get back up. You bounce back as you realize that God gave you bountiful strength to carry on when the anxieties of life knock you down. It’s a new day. You must endure. You have to! With God’s help, you will!
