OH WHAT A TANGLED WEB WE WEAVE!

By Vernalee

“Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive” is a quotation by Sir Walter Scott, which I'm sure you’ll heard. It means that when you tell lies or act in a dishonest way, you create problems and complications which you cannot control.“ When this happens, things can so easily get out of hand and cause trouble. How?

First of all, a tangled web is a situation that is very confusing and difficult to understand. It is convoluted and caused by some form of deception. For certain and unequivocally, the truth is so much easier to manage and requires little or no effort. It has been long said that the truth can walk barefoot, while lies keep switching shoes. Further, “Never worry about who will be hurt if you tell the truth. Worry about who will be misled, deceived, and destroyed with your lies.”

If you’ll ever observed spiders, creating a web is a timely and intricate process. Thus, your time would be better spent in the building of truth. It’s so simple and easy. It‘s effortless and eliminates the confusion. No one gets injured in the process. You just open your mouth, let the spit from your tongue travel to your lips, and tell the truth.

Nothing can be simpler than that!
